Now, That’s Remote Control!
When we launched our free app for the iPhone® and iPod touch® people loved it — to the tune of over 100,000 downloads in a week. But we wanted more for our customers, like the ability to remotely program a DVR from their smartphones. With Comcast Mobile 2.0, remote DVR (rDVR) capability is a reality, along with a host of other new features. Check out the video for our newest innovation!
OnDemand
Another breakthrough perfected by Comcast engineers shifts real time into anytime-you-want-it, putting more choices and control back in our customers’ hands. Our team created an easily navigable remote interface, featuring a simple, single-button recording solution. Customers have access to HDTV, and a collection of over 20,000 television shows, movies, trailers and clips. They can tune in, catch up and enjoy their favorite television programming 24/7.
SmartZone
Managing the back and forth between four, five (or even more) email accounts can be a hassle. That’s why our engineers developed the SmartZone Communications Center. They devised a way to combine multiple online address books, email accounts and computers in one place. It’s been a welcome and well-received service. And recent upgrades like simplified navigation, multitasking capabilities and a more intuitive layout continue to make it easier and better for our customers.
Caller ID on TV
Can you see who's calling you right from your TV or computer screen? Comcast's engineers dreamed up a way to bring you these technologies, and with Universal Caller ID, customers can either take or screen calls without missing their favorite shows.
